Is there a way in Java to upload and download files via a web application? If so - how?

Didn't you post this question a couple of days ago? I seem to remember sedj tackling just this issue, but it appears to have gone!

Thanks - no I didn't ask this question before. The thread that I did ask a question about on sedj's comment:

upload :
I didn't put it together that this would be what I needed for what I'm trying to do.

Java is just frustrating!!

When I did do a search - I didn't find the download thread.

Thanks anyway for your help.

Apologies WyldGynjer. I remembered reading the thread and seeing your name, but for some reason couldn't find it when I searched.

Yes, Java can be frustrating at first, and isn't a language that one can easily 'dip a toe' into. There is an elegance to it, however, that once you can see it, makes it all a lot easier (IMO).

it's quite alright timw - duplicate posts can be very annoying...so I can understand why you would question me...

I'm determined to understand Java...so I'm sure you'll see me post more when I get stuck! :)

And thank you sedj for posting those links to those threads!
