Just a quik question.
Can I upgrade the 2.0.39 to 2.0.40 without losing the website, config files -etc and that maybe for a few minutes downtime?

It never hurts to may backups of your configuration files just in case. :) Compare httpd.conf to the new one and if it has a lot of new stuff, copy you directory container info and othe site specific stuff into the new one. Other wise don't bother. Just rename the backup to httpd.conf

Hi mate,

The best idea is to set-up the new version to run on another port so that you can test it all and make sure that it is running without a problem.

Then, when you want to make that server "live", just change the ports in the config, stop the currently running server and start the new one.

This way, you can iron out any potential problems and you have only a few seconds downtime.

Hope this helps Wullie

So I have to remove the other version first(winxp)and then I installed it. I made some backups but I didn't had to use them the site and all config files remained
It was just a test server so the downtime wasn't that important
