Does anyone have any experience (success/failure) installing the purchased product over a previous install using a 120-day eval (TechNet) CD? We would prefer to preserve all the apps and configs that we have added since that original install (a month ago) rather than start from scratch. We are stuck at the screen that acknowledges our previous installation but only invites us to repair or replace (not "upgrade") it. Anyone been there?

Not tried it under 2k, but if you remove the eval code from the registry by setting it to zero, next reboot prompts you to register.

Backup the reg first!
