Upgrading User Defined fields - keeping other contact2 data

I have several sites using GoldMine 5.5 and have the need to add several additional user defined fields & a Tab to support them. I have done this at one site but want to avoid the manual process of updating all sites.

Does anyone know if there is a way of merging the newly created contact2.dbf at my site with the contact2.dbf files at remote sites, while keeping their other data (in contact2.dbf) intact?

Jeff,

If your synchronising customizations then they will naturally go to the remote sites and rebuild their database to include the new fields.

There are files to copy across if you don't sync between, although I suppose you could do the same thing with a transfer set. The files you need to copy across are: copy Goldmine\common\contudef.* and gmbase\fields5.*) to other systems and run rebuild from /configure gm/custom fields, or right clicking under the fields tab, select "Screen Design" and then rebuild from the menu.

I am assuming that the database designs are the same or you want them to be the same. The data doesn't matter.
