Hi there,

I am upgrading to SQL 2000 and Analysis Services next week from SQL Server 7.0 and OLAP Services.

Has anyone done this ? Are there any issues to be aware of ? Is it a straight forward upgrade to SQL 2000 ? Useful Tips ??

Thanks,

Darren.

Dareren,

I have (almost) done this, but have chosen to install a new SQL 2000 box, and then move/recreate things. mainly becuase theere are so many more options in Analysis services 2000 than in SQL 7.

If you install on the same box, I would advise that you install it as a seperate incidence, rather than upgrading the current version, then you get the opportunity to make any changes without losing the originals.

Let me know how you get on?
