I'm upgrading from 4.0 to 4.5 this Sunday (3/12). My 9 GB HD is partitioned into 2 GB for system files and 7 GB for storage. Do I have enough space on the 2 GB to upgrade? Also, any common major pitfalls I should be aware of before I do the upgrade? I'm new at this...
Thanks!

It will be close
I have the same thing (2.0 gig C:) and just upgraded.
My drive is 1.97 full.
I would suggest going to 4 gig if possible.
Keep in mind 4 gig is the MAX for NT 4 on the boot partition.

I had No pitfalls.
4.5 is much better than 4.0 it fixed alot of bugs and problems.
Plus you get all new versions of the programs Proxy Server 2.0, FAX server, Excahnge Server 5.5, SQL 7

Plus I got 4 more FREE support instances somehow when I called Microsoft.
I have made NT Server work with a bootable partition of 7.4 GB. Since yours is a production system, I wouldn't take any chances, but if you get daring you may be able to resize that partition to greater than 4 GB as long as you don't go past the 1024 cylinder limit. A tool like partition magic will let you do this and it will tell you if you are overstepping the limits.
