Upgrading to RAS vs. RDC with VB6 app????

I have an application that is written in VB6 and uses Crystal Reports as the report generator. It is using the Crystal Report Print Engine (CRPE) which is no longer supported. So, I would like to upgrade I thought to Report Designer Component (RDC) but now I find out that with the release of Crystal Reports XI RDC is now considered a legacy web technology and will not be included in the next version of Crystal Reports. So, it looks like I will need to use Report Applicatin Server (RAS).

Questions:

1. Should I use RAS? Will it work with VB6?
2. Has anybody tried this? And, if so, did they encountered any problems?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.
