upgrading to GP 7.5

Hello all. I am currently running GP 7.0 with the pervasice.SQL 2000i database. I am planning on upgrading to GP 7.5 with MSDE database. Can anyone tell he how to convert the database from pervasive to MSDE? I cannot find any whitepapers on the GP customersource site. Thank you!

Pervasive to MSDE is what they call a "Migration" so maybe that's what you should search for.

Basically, you are going to:

1. Upgrade the current installation from 7.0 to 7.5.
2. Install MSDE where you want the new installation to be.
3. Install GP7.5 for MSDE on that new install.
4. Do a few basic but specific setups in the MSDE version.
5. Install the migration utility (purchased tool) in the pervasive 7.5 install.
6. Log into the pervasive install and using the migration tool "push" the data into the MSDE version.

There are some good instructions with the migration tool and it actually works pretty well. Haven't had a problem yet (knock on wood).
