Heya everyone,

First of all thanks for always being so helpful. I think this is probably the only forum where you will get fast and awesome help with McAfee products.

After having a little problem with my installation of ePo 3.0.0, I called McAfee and they told me the only way to resolve my issue was to upgrade to 3.0.1. I am just wondering what some things are that I need to be aware of before I upgrade:

I also had a few questions on that.
Should I reimport the database, or should I start from scratch?
Should I use the SuperAgent functionality over Distributed UNC Share Repositories?

Sorry if I'm asking for a few things, I am just dreading this upgrade, as 3.0.1 seems to cause quite a bit of Havoc.

Thanks in advance,

Sven

Make sure your database is backed up and do the upgrade, it's pretty quick and simple. The only reason I can see to do this from scratch is if you just have a lot of junque in your database and would like to rediscover.

I've done the upgrade and was quite pleased with how well it worked. I had everything backed up in case of having to come back and rebuilt. That didn't happen, for once something with ePO worked like it's supposed to.

BTW, I did the upgrade on Windows 2000 Server if that makes any difference.

Like he said backup and upgrade.

also be sure your local to the server when you upgrade no terminal services.
