Our NetWare 5.1 network currently has NDS version 7.57. We need to upgrade our 6 servers to EDirectory in order to be compatible with a NDS tree we are joining. I'm not sure how to get started. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Best way to start is to start with a server that contains either the Master or a R/W of [Root]. That way, the schema extensions can be applied to your [Root] server and will begin to filter down the tree. -----------------------------------------------------

I tested an upgrade from NDS 7.57 to eDirectory 8x on a small (2 server) 5.1 network. During the installation, I received the following message: "An error occurred modifying the NDS schema for file Sys:System\Schema\nov_inet.sch. Error description: No such attribute. (DS1-5.00-1845). Press [Enter] to Continue."

Although installation continued apparently normally, I would like to know what the error means and what action I should take. Thanks.
