Hello,

Any good tips on how to upgrade from arcserve IT 6.6 to Arcserve netware 7. Reading through notes and am getting confused there are two installations one is manager and one is server, don't know which one to start first. Any suggestions would be greately appreciated.

Regards,

newbie

It's basically like this:

The Manager installation is the GUI interface that you use on your PC when scheduling jobs and performing Arcserve tasks. The Server installation is the actual server installation of the product (NLMs and the like). You will need to install both to use Arcserve 7 properly. You cannot use the Arcserve 6 GUI interface with Arcserve 7 so once you have installed the Server bit, install the Manager onto your workstation. Note: if you do not have IE5.5 installed, the Manager installation will upgrade/install IE5.5 "It's true, its damn true!"
