I am going to be upgrading some Windows 2000 servers to Backupexec 9.0 . We are currently using 8.6 . Is there anything that I should know before we start the upgrade process. Has anyone been running into any issues are configuration problems. Also will I have to recatalog all our tapes or will that information stay? Thank you.

Make sure you have the latest build. The original version we had would not install.

i agree with stevet3, skip 9 and go directly to 9.1. Make sure your backup server has a gig card so you can handle the speed of 9.1. We found that running our LTO2 drives the server could not keep up with the data pull.

Hold on! This could Hurt! I ain't certified by Microsoft!

Thanks
