Hi,
I currently have 2 Domain controllers that run windows 2000 server. I am trying to figure out if installing a new windows 2008 server(standard) and adding it to my domain will limit my sharepoint possibilities? I am reading about upgrading the rest of my domain to a 2008 AD and this seems like too much work to get sharepoint working? If I do not use the Windows 2008 AD will I be missing out on some of the technologies sharepoint has to offer?
Thanks

If you are in an environment where you have only two domain controlers you probably will not be missing out on anything.

You would really only be missing out on things like ADFS and technologies you would only really use in a traditional Extranet configuration. If you are using SharePoint just for your internal users (even with an externally facing site) you probably do not need to go to a 2008 Domain.

Our PDC is a 2000 Server and we have been using WSS 3.0 to help us with ISO 9000 certification. We use all of the main features: document versioning, permissions, work flows, etc... I have never experienced missing a feature because of our Domain or Forest Functional Level.
