We currently have a customer with an SX2000. The console is a Superset 700 with VHOC unit attached as the Operator is partially sighted. They have a 3300 that is currently serving voicemail. The intention is to now fully migtrate all users to IP and remove the SX2000. However we need to come up with a solution to replace the VHOC unit. Mitel have been no help and have just suggested "JAWS" software which we have tried to no avail, although after speaking with them they feel it may work if we pay for them to do some scripting ! A lot of money for an uncertain outcome.

Has anyone else successfully implemented an IP5550 for a partially sighted person with "screen reading" software ?

The RNIB may help out
I have installed JAWS software before and the customer has not had to pay for it as it covered under the DDA.
Users normally get trained by RNIB and they come and install JAWS on the 5550IP console PC
It is worth pursuing as it is very expensive.
