By mistake we installed SQL Server 2000 Personal Edition in a production Environment. Is there a safe procedure for upgrading the Personal Edition to a standard Edition?
Could we just install the standard Edition over the other?
Do a full backup of all the databases, then un-install and reinstall the SQL Server. You will also want to move the database files to another folder while you are doing all of the un-install and re-install. Then put the database files back in the correct folder, and attach the databases.
