I have a remote server that is many hour away from my location. I need to upgrade a service pack on this server, can I upgrade the service pack via terminal server or is there a better method, other than having someone at the server do it?

it is possible, but not recommended

another way is to perform a silent update and schedule it to run when you want it to run.

make sure that someone is available at the remote site to remove the floppy from the floppy drive that stops your server from getting back online ;-)

I upgrade our WAN servers all the time via Terminal Services, and have never had a problem. That includes Service Packs as well as critical updates.

It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.
