I have a server edition IPO and right now the Release is 8.1.90-39 (8.1.43) and I want to bring it up to the latest because the remote IP500V2s will be at 8.1.52. I would assume it is similar to upgrading a UC module but am not sure. For one thing, I am not sure what to download for the upgrade. And second, it looks like there are a couple different kinds of upgrades (Software Repositories, Solution Upgrade). Thank you for your help!

Thanks!

This is easy.
Download the iso and put it on a file server.
Then be sure that the server can reach the fileserver.
Then enter the link in to the solution management and enter the link there.
Click on save file and it will download the iso.
When it is done then it will process the file and after that you can press the update primary.
You can also burn a DVD and boot from that and select upgrade.

But i really like the solution management way.

So I would go to the Avaya Support website and download the ISO file for the server edition. I have a free fileserver that I can stick it on. So that sounds good. But the other two files on the Avaya website are .rar files, I don't need to download those do I?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks!

You will first need to download both files because the iso is too big (Avaya cannot put in files that are more then 2Gb)
After downloading both put them in one folder and unpack the first zip file.
It will automatically unpack the second one too and build one iso file for you.

Then you can put it on your file server.
This can be a http or ftp server.
