Upgrading RES 5.6 to RES 5.7.6 issues

Hello everyone!

I was trying to upgrade my restaurant server to RES 5.7.6 from RES 5.6, but I found two issues:
1) When I try to run the patch to upgrade straight from 5.6 to 5.7.6 it says it won't let me.
2) When I upgrade my server with 5.7 PreReq and install RES5.7 the Sybase Central and Interactive SQL exe won't start. They don't throw me any errors, they just won't start.

So, I'm I doing something wrong? How am I supposed to upgrade my server?

In my experience the best thing to do in these cases is to make an installation from scratch. I had many problems updating installations and since some time ago I've been trying to install here, in this case 5.7, updating the bd I have in production, if everything works well, then I leave a temporary server in production with the current version and install the server with the new version and try everything with a client.

Well, I had to do that exactly, but I don't think that it's the only solution!

As RES 4.X when upgrading from 4.7 to 4.9 you could do that straight!

So maybe, I'll be doing something wrong.
