I am new to raid technology and have a Dell 1400SC server with a Perc controller using 3 x 18Gb disks. I have purchased 3 x 73Gb disks from Dell to upgrade to obtain more space. What sequence of events do I need to go through to replace the old disks with the new? Can anybody out there please give me some guidance?

Upgrading Raid

Easiest way is probably to take an image of the server, replace the drives and create a new raid set and then restore the image. If it doesn't work you can always revert to the original disks.
Whatever you do, make sure you have a good backup before starting!!
