Upgrading OS to Windows 2000 using SMS

I am not even sure if it is possible to do, but has anyone successfully upgraded pre-Windows 2000 (Win95 & Win98) machines to Windows 2000 using SMS across the network?? I have 315 machines to upgrade, I have the licences, but really want to use SMS to upgrade these PC's if possible, as opposed to touching each machine individually. If you were successful in doing the upgrades, is there any scripting that I could use to do it?? I would appreciate any help on this, otherwise, i am looking at a couple of hundred hours of upgrading OS's. Thank you.
