We are currently running BES version 3.6 and I have been tasked to research upgrading to version 4.0. We do not have support with RIM and their one-time upgrade is $999.00. I found someone that will sell me version 4.0 for less than half that amount (they have no clue what the software does).
Does anyone know if I would run into any problems by simply installing the new version. I am familiar with all of the upgrade "gottchas", but am unclear about my existing licenses and my existing SRP. Obviously, I will have a new SRP if I buy the software outright, but will my licenses still work?
