I want to add more memory to my BCM 400. I have conflicting stories about accomplishing this. I was told you can do it at any time and I have heard adding the memory once operation makes it unstable. Can someone please help me clear this up?

TIA

All that is required is 256MB. You can add more memory, but it (in theory) shouldn't be needed or used.

As long as the memory is the same speed and type as what is already installed, you shouldn't have any issues.
