Hi,

its been decided that our single win2k server/dc will be getting its mbd and cpu upgraded. It's a clone, not a nice fancy Proliant or anything.
We have 2 scsi drives, each of them mirrored to another volume using windows disk managment.
Is there a way that I can accomplish this upgrade without having to entirely rebuild the windows install?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated...

thanks!

marina.

since you are changing chipsets this is destined to fail.

if this is your only domain controller - install a temporary one and move all the services to it. then upgrade your machine and migrate the services (rolls) back to it.

you are going to have to reinstall windows - 90% guaranteed
