Upgrading IP406

Hi,

Here's a list of what we have, and versions

[Hardware]
IP406 v2.0[18]
Digital DT x 30 4.0[16]
Digital DT x 30 4.0[16]
Analog Pots8+ 4.0[16]

[software]
Delta Server 4.0.22
Voicemail Pro 2.0.16

Servicing around 45 phones, all phones are 2030's

What exactly do i need, and whats the procedure for updating, should we update to the latest of v2.1 instead of moving to v3?

Any help is greatly appreciated

When first releaded Version 3.0 did NOT support DT handsets

As thousands of DT systens installed in Europe bit of a problem

Version 3.0 DT (535) announced which is for DT system only.

Have used both versions

No real problems to report

SCN problems between various versions resolved with Version 3.0 (44)

3.0DT is not for DT's only. It happily supports DS's as well. Someone somewhere is spreading this and deserves a mugging.

Its 3.0 that only something, that something being only supports DS's.

Right so, what do i need to download, all the v3 DT based software. And skip upgrading to v2.1 at all

Now here's the problem. 3.0(DT) is very very similar to 2.1 and will work with 2.1 apps - so not much to choose between the two.

However I suspect that come the release of 3.1 towards the end of this year, support for 2.1 is probably going to end. So going to 3.0DT gives the system a slightly longer "supported by Avaya" lifespan.
