This weekend I will be upgrading from Exchange 2003 Standard to Enterprise Edition. Obvoiusly I will get a good back up before we upgrade.

It seems like a pretty straight forward upgrade, but I was just wondering if there is anything to look out for.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Yeah, look out for what you'll spend the rest of the weekend doing, like drinking beer. Going from Standard to Enterprise is really straight forward. Turn off your file level AV while you're doing it. Install all updates and stuff when you're done.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

stick the media in, run setup, reinstall option, rerun SPs and hot fixes, go home, have an adult beverage as a reward for a job well done.

Thanks guys, turns out I had more time for the adult beverages than I planned for. Dell shipped us SP2 for Exchange instead of the Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise CD. Then they tell me that I have to call Microsoft. Oh well, I guess I know what I have planned for this weekend.

Thanks again,
Scott
