Hi all,

I have a system that I need to upgrade from Seagate 7 to VERITAS BackupExec 8.6.

Could you please provide some assistance with an upgrade from Seagate BackupExec v7.0 to Veritas BackupExec V8.6.

Is there a recommened/documented upgrade path? I have looked on the Veritas site but that search was not very fruitful :(

Is anyone aware if it is possible to keep the details of the backup jobs, history, etc across the upgrade from Seagate 7.0 to Backupexec 8.6, particularly since it is an
upgrade from a Seagate to a Veritas product.

Any help on this one would be appreciated.

Thanks,

J.

You can upgrade from Seagate to Veritas. What you need is a family upgrade. Fairly straight forward.
