Hi All,
Anyone know of what tools to use and also of any good whitepapers on how to upgrade to SQL Server from Access?
thx

Access provides an add-in which is an upsizing wizard. It works for tables; at least that's all I've ever used it for. Most other objects have to be recreated in some other application. MSSQL Server does not provide a screen development tool or formal report tool.

This doesn't cover all aspects of migration, just something to think about.

You may consider using a SQL Server DTS package (ie import) from Access data source to SQL Server. It does transfer the objects and data. I have noticed that autonumbers do not get set to identity columns in sql server.
