I have been a loyal dBase programer for years, however I am looking to expand my capabilities. If anyone has thoughts on which language to switch to, i.e. Delph or VB 6.0 or VB .net. Also can you suggest text books or training centers that you have found helpful. ADO is a big priority for me as well.
Thanks in advance.

My top 100 list:
On places 1) through 5) : DELPHI ofcourse s-)

Places 6) through 9) : ex equo Java and C#

For place 10) If you would like to build on your dBase knowledge, go to and to see a 32 bit version, with OOP capabilities, of Clipper.

Places 11) through 99) : Any Windows / OOP aware language.

Place 100) (closer) : VB (not real OOP)

Moral of this story: Go for a real OOP aware language. (period)
