I have a server with 5 scsi drives installed. The first 2 are basic volumes and i wish to upgrade them to dynamic volumes.

My concern is that the first volume contains the system partition and also all the user home directories plus other important data.

I know that I can convert the volume to dynamic but I want to ensure that nothing will go wrong. Should I do the conversion after hours so that no users are connected to the volume? Also do I have to reboot the server after the conversion.

Thanks

Kenny
