Upgrading from Arcserve2000 to brightstor Arcv9

For our sins we have to upgrade Arcserve2000 to Brightstor. We want to install to a new server, instead of upgrading. Has anybody installed to a new server recovered the database and been able to keep media pools intact? Also, any tips on installing and recovering our databases to brightstor would be much appreciated! Are there any major pitfalls? Ta

you should not be facing any issues with wat exactly ur trying....

To be on the safer side- copy ur database folder and un-install arcserve 2000 on ur machine and install the same on the new one and then recover ur database and cross check if things go fine and then go for ur upgrade.
