Upgrading from 8.5....which version???

Our company is getting ready to upgrade from the 8.5 development environment. I see that v11 was just recently released and I'm wondering what your thoughts are for our situation. We use the viewer and other developer components wihtout our app so it means we'll be upgrading everyone one of our installations which is going to be a big undertaking. What I'm most concerned with is compatibility with other programs using other Crystal environments.

Is v11 better than v10 or even v9???

The problem you're going to run into with other programs that use Crystal is that the report formats for the version later than 8.5 have changed and cannot be run from 8.5 or earlier.

My first step would be to determine what other programs are using Crystal, what version of Crystal they're using and whether they will offer an upgrade to a more recent version of Crystal. From there, you'll have a better idea of the scope of the change and where you might run into problems.
