Upgrading from 4.0 to 6.1 MIC

I've been having constant problems with a T-1 PRI on MIC 4.0. I hope the upgrade will resolve the issues like dropping calls. Is there a procedure to upgrade a 4.0 to a 6.1. Will I have to reprogram the system?

From the MICS 6.1 Installer Guide

Upgrading from...
MICS (all versions)
4.0, 4.1 and 5.0

Upgrade too MICS 6.1

Insert MICS CS ROM cartridge with appropriate software load.
Caution: Ensure you have a release version 2.0 NVRAM cartridge before you attempt the upgrade.
Note: The line numbering for your system will
change with this upgrade.
