Upgrading FastT600 (DS4300)

Hello all,
I was asked to upgrade FastT600 storage subsystem by IBM. They also said that it is a customer responsibility. Need help. firmware is 5.33 and Storage manager is 8.33. Can someone tell me the steps to follow?. And to what version I should upgrade fist or should I go straight to the latest one? Has any body encounter any problems while upgrading FastT's (DS4300)?. What should I upgrade first? Thanks.

We haven't got a DS4300 , but a DS6800 won't be that different from a DS4300 I guess?
you should first update your kona's on the DS from within the storagemanager software (if you have a SM client already ).This can take about half an hour per kona.
then reboot the DS (IBM claims it can be done "on the fly" , but it didn't work as well as they claimed on our DS6800)Afterwards, remove the SM and the DSCLI from your management console.Then install the latest version of your SM and DSCLI.
