Upgrading CR8 to 11

Crystal Reports has been thrown into my lap and I have been designing reports by looking at existing reports. We currently are using CR8 with Pervasive 2000 accessing Macola. I have downloaded CR11 trial and done all of the datasource updates, seen the tables and pervasive launches yet I see no results on my reports. Crystal Reports has my case but I haven't heard back from them since I responded to all of their questions they sent back the first time. Anyone experienced this?

The Crystal Engine was redesigned in CR 9, modified again in 10 and then more of the engine was retooled in XI. The only success I know of of going from 8 to XI is to open each report in XI and then set the database location, verify the database and then run the report on the desktop before re-publishing back out (if it came from the Enterprise Server) to the server.

The issue is the difference in the CR Engine design.
