upgrading cpu's

i have an older amd motherboard (kt133) and i would like to upgrade from the 700 mhz duron to a 1.33 ghz athlon (266 mhz fsb) but i dont know if it will work, and what kind performance i would get out of it.

There are several different kt133 boards out there. I would look in your manual for the board and see. As far as the 266mhz FSB, i believe that the board will only suport up to pc133 memory.

KT133 is the name of the VIA chipset the board is based on - could you specify which motherboard you have?
