Morning!

I've been tasked to upgrade a Cisco 3640 running c3640-jk8o3s-mz.122-26.bin... Looking on Cisco's website, I can't find this release. I can only find c3640-ik9o3s-mz.124-25d.bin

I'm aware that the jk8o3s runs ENTERPRISE/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 56
and
that the ik9o3s runs IP/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES

I've tried to use Cisco's Feature Navigator tool there are features that are unique to both. Obviously the newer image has a lot more feathers that the older one.

I don't think the router is actually using a lot of the features but cannot be sure.

Can anybody help in determining whether the ik903s image will run on the code that's on the router...

Thanks in advanced!

The router will run the code "IF" the router has enough nvram to accept the 12.4 image which will be considerably bigger .
