CICS 4.0 Standard (S)

I need a refresher...
Need to keep programming if possible.

My past thoughts were to upgrade 4.0 to 4.1 then 6.1 then 7.1 ...maybe that was just MICS.
However 6.0 Install guide states it's ok to go from 4.0 to 6.0
However 6.1 Install guide makes no mention of any previous version or any which tool/software order etc which I find strange.

So that would mean I can go from 4.0 to 6.1 then 7.1?

As for versions can I go from 4.0 S to 6.0 SI or SIP as an example? as long as not backwards?

I'm reading a 7.0 upgrade guide.

There is an upgrade tool that will take you from 4.0 to 7.x.

No mention of using software onlt. I Think if you do it by just swapping software you have to stop at 6.0 because of the line numbering change that occurs at 6.1

I was just reminded about this post...thanks jsaad lol.
But to update properly I upped straight from 4.0 to 7.1 and worked, took less time then I thought too.
