Hi,
We currently run a SBS 2000 Server which pretty much does everything, ISA, Exchange, File and Print etc and is the only DC.
We recently purchased 2003 Server and Exchange 2003, I installed the software and added the 2003 server as a DC to the current domain. The servers have been working together for a while now, replicating ok and everything seemed good.
However at the weekend we tried to remove the SBS server from the domain. We chaged all the FSMO roles to the new 2003 server, Global catalog etc. We let replication occur, waited for all the relevant messages in event viewer.
We then turned the SBS Server off and rebooted the 2003 server. When it came back up we seemed to have no domain contollers and basically our domain/network was non exist
Any ideas?
After reading about upgrade paths it seems as though you cant do what were trying to do.
Has anyone tried the same proceedure?
