While attempting to upgrade a 9i repository (9.0.2.5) to 10g, I encountered an error. I followed Oracle's SCM Repository Installation Guide for the 10g developer suite steps for 'Upgrading a Release 6i or 9i Repository' to 10g. Since this error suggested that I may have made an error during the earlier steps in the upgrade, I decided to re-import the contents of my repository from the backup I had taken before starting the upgrade and trying the upgrade again.

Now, before importing from the backup, I had to 'Remove All Objects' from the repository - this I did. While running the import, I got an ORA-02248 error - invalid option for Alter Session'. The error messages outlined in appendix c (page 7) explains this error as the Server database not being release 9.0.1.4 or higher but is is in fact at 9.2.0.1.0!

Can anyone advise me what to do next at this point so that I can recover my repository?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Richard
