Hiya, I havent quiet got my head around this IOS Upgrade path stuff. I have a C6006 with MSFC. However I do not know what the upgrade is to the next version. I have got through several of your routines on the web - but all come with different version of the IOS to use. One even suggest that my version hasnt been released ? My show ver is:

Can someone point me out here ? according to my last page I visted I should be 12.1(11b)E for the MSFC and 12.1(4)E3 for the Sup IOS. Is this correct or am I off my trolley ??? Thanks for any help Ed

Looks like the MSFC is 12.1 xxx depending on Enterprise or some other level...

According to your printout.. the MSFC card already has 12.1 so you just need the patch for the SNMP hole.. which I think is just a reload of the IOS with a new data stamp on it..

The 6000 is on 5.5(8) right now.. so you could *probably* move to 6.x without troubles.. but I would avoid the newest code for now.. but again, you will need to reload the code for the SNMP hole.


Read the README files.. they give the hardware requirements which is very important. You need enough flash and ram for the upgrades..
