HI,
I upgraded to BE9.0 from BE8.6 on a Win2k server. After that, I installed the remote install agent files on every wrksttn on my network, but when I try to select folders from those workstations, i am not able to, they are blanked out. Although some of those workstations are just fine. Any Idea?

I too recently upgraded to 9.0 from 8.6

at direction of Veritas tech support, before I installed any new 9.0 remote agent to the computers other than the server running BE 9, I UNINSTALLED the 8.6 remote agent on each of a handful of Windows 2000 PC's I was remotely backing before (in 8.6) - I rebooted each of those PC's after uninstall - then installed the new 9.0 Remote agent on each of them - then I could see them ungreyed out; available to select for backup

How important it was to uninstall the old remote agent; I dunno, but I did it first , rebooted each remote PC then intsalled the new stuff and it seemed to go OK

the Uninstalls were simply through each PC's Add/Remove Program in Control Panel

THANKS IHUDDLES , IT WORKED JUST FINE EXCEPT THAT I HAVE TO DO THIS 75 TIMES. I GUESS I BETTER GET TO IT.
