Greetings,

Ok, a strange problem here. We just upgraded from 5.0 to 7.0. Now we can't complete transfers to our external voicemail system. (Across SIP trunks) I checked that the lines had FTTU and they do, but it won't let us complete a transfer to someone's line that is busy. (Previously changing from FTTR to FTTU fixed it) Any idea's on what to check or what to even look at?

Thanks for any help!

Ryan

If you are using 3900 series sets, make sure the firmware has been updated.........completing transfers is a known problem with old fw on rls 6.0 and newer

hope this helps

teekow: it is happening on 2616's too. :(

those should be set to yes. looks like your options defaulted.

trnx: yes
extt: yes
ftop: fres (correct me everyone i'm doing this from memory)

You can search trunk to trunk transfers and you will get the OPT settings. Change CFO to CFF.

Hope this helps

Changed things around, still not having any luck, any ideas?

In each of the Routes that have

NEDC ??? <--set ??? to ETH
FEDC ??? <--set ??? to ETH

Perform the change in LD16, respond YES to CNTL, then return the NEDC, and FEDC and enter the value ETH.

If the TARG was wrong you would not be able to call these numbers. Your problem is you cannot release a call transfer to them.

You could set FTOP = FRES to turn off all Flexible Trunk to Trunk options - just to see if there is some bug in the FTT feature. If it does not change anything, set it back to what it was. If it DOES fix it, then there is a bug.

If you have the package 409, enable the plug-ins "59,201 & 203". These are related to Trunk - to - trunk transfer...

You said: "but it won't let us complete a transfer to someone's line that is busy"

what do you get if you try a Conf instead?

monitor the IPDCH to see if you are seeing reject messages, you might be getting a busy / reject call from the VM maybe, and your trunks are fine.

Villareal I will check that.

Triton101, it is happening to all trunks we found out yesterday, PSTN and voicemail. Conference works, but when you go to complete the transfer it won't complete it.

Hmm. Had something funny happen when we went 6.0

See if in you ld 17 PARM setting if MLDN is NO, we had issues when it defaulted to MLDN to no, try YES

you can also check the MPO setting in CDB for RGNA and AOCS, not sure why they would change.....
