Upgraded 3.0sw on MICS to 6.1 sw Kim's on T7316e will not work? 4

Upgrade my old 3.0 sw on mics to 6.1 . Eveything works except the KIM's on the t7316e telephones any ideas?

Have you added the CAP to the Ext in system programming?

If I remember correctly. The KIM, like the CAP, needs to be initialized during install. Unsually consists of holding down certain keys when you plug the phone in.

Check the install guide.

The KIMs are not supposed to work on anything below 6.1, wasit working in the 3.0 system?

The System was 3.0, I replaced the 3.0 cartridge with a 6.1 cartridge and the sw card insert. I then performed a startup and set the system up as square. The KIM will not even flash when connected to the t7316e series phone. It acts like it is not getting power?

Are you using the proper line cords? Is the outlet properly wired if you are using a AUX power supply? I know you don't have to use one anymore, but have you tried a aux power supply?

I know my suggestions sound stupid, but the simple explination is usually the right one....

you need to set up the KIM under the set and ifnot its probably a bad KIM
