UpgradeCorporate Edition 9.x -10.x

Getting ready to upgrade from Norton Corporate Edition 9x -10.x. Can we upgrade the Parent servers to 10.x with the clients at 9? Do we need to upgrade the clients after the upgrade or can gradually upgrade the clients?

YOu can go to 10 on the servers, just be sure to check the box under the properties of your 10 server to allow it to manage 9.x clients. You can then upgrade the clients as you go.

I had 10 all installed and was going to start converting when I started reading up on 10.x and all the crap that Symantec is doing right now. Couple that with Symantec's slow response to the sober.x virus and I uninstalled 10.x and am switching to TrendMicro.

Does anyone know the default user name when adding to a server group? It is asking us for a username / password to add to the server group and the guy who configured this originally is no longer here, we know the password for the group but no idea of the username

We got that far thanks, but when we go to add the server to the server group it tells us that the group does not exist would we like to add another group. Yet, the group does exist.
