I just upgrades a bunch of BCM 400's. One came back with:

Software upgrade failed to apply, rpm retcode 2

I can't find what return code 2 is. Anyone else?

When I once upgraded some BCM systems, I had some weird message that was like yours and I think I just reverted the date on the computer I was using by a couple of years and got it to work.

You changed the date on the BCM or the machine that is sending the patch?

I tried both, no luck either way. It lists the update as "obsolete" which I know it is not, and will not let me proceed.
