Which option would be better; Upgrading our current Office 2007 to 2010 or uninstalling 2007 and do a clean install of 2010? I personally think upgrading would be better to keep the user's current settings. My co worker thinks we should do a clean install. Any thoughts?

I'm always a fan of clean install. But, one factor here is, will you use 32bit or 64bit versions? If moving to 64bit, you must uninstall 32bit versions first, or it will not install. (And that means all "Office" items, including Visio and MS Project, which use some of the same shared libraries.)

Interestingly, for things like Outlook, an uninstall will leave the OST, so it's not as bad as it might seem, as well as registery entries in some cases. (Don't know what circumstances specifically, but I've seen it in a few instances.)

Best Regards,
Scott

I am for a clean install (if possible) for ANY Microsoft product.
