Have a customer on Rls. 9.1. Upgrading to current (11.1). Right now, VM Pro is running on a Windows PC. I believe I need to create an Application Server for Release 11.1. Planning to use a Windows 10 PC for the Application Server. Will I be able to migrate the VM Pro config, modules, users, greetings, messages, etc?

I wrote up some FAQs that would probably help you a bit. I am no longer an Avaya certified tech and don't have access to the tech bulletins for the upgrade from 9.1 to 11. The FAQ's do outline how to migrate the files from Windows to Linux. Also has instructions for doing Hyper-V installs of the app server with Windows Pro 10.

@budbyrd What do you do now? Still working on Avaya stuff without certification?

Nope. Now I work for a hospital. I get to work on a much wider range of equipment. They have an NEC PBX (I truly miss the Avaya stuff in comparison). I just have 18 years experience working with the IPO and don't mind passing along my experience.

Neat. Glad you are still passing by and sharing your knowledge.

Sorry to hijack the thread btw :p

@budbyrd good to hear that you stay here and keep helping and my condolences to working with an NEC system :p
My old company had NEC and Avaya and I was going nuts every time I worked on a NEC system. Not that it is bad but the programming tree is just so frickin' 90's
