I found this in the pricelist:

UNITY4.X-SL16-VUP
Unity, UM or VM version update to 4.X - 16 session license N/A $x,000

Is this the right position? So it is not free of charge?

This is for an upgrade to 4.x
It is free if you have software support contract (SAU) from CISCO.

If not you will have to pay to upgrade
