upgrade to exchange 2K...resource mailboxes not replicating!

so i am preparing my network for upgrade to exchagne 2K. we have set up connections between all of our sites. mailboxes have been replicating all night, however, this morning we discovered that the resource mailboxes - the ones that didnt have passwords associated with them yet, aren't replicating - since a password needed to be created for the mailbox, and our requirement is using a 'strong password'- we think that this because of the fact the we use 'strong passwords. We are not yet to running forestprep/domain prep, or yet installed exchange 2K.

Has anyone had any experience with this? know any solutions? will i have to recreate all resource mailboxes??
