upgrade to AixL 5.2 problem

I am trying to upgrade to 5.2 on my test system,
the test system is an F40 with 3, 4.5 hard drives
when I put the 5.2 cd in and reboot to start the migrate
its tell me Failed to creat log error 0514-440 cfgcon.
I know I have enought space to load the software.

I did lslpp -L xlC.rte and updated to 5.0.2.1

I did a bootinfo -p and its an Rscp not a Chrp so its not supported.

My question can I still migrate to 5.2 from 4.3.3.10

With the F40, you can only upgrade to AIX 5.1. AIX 5.2 is not supported on the F40.
